General property law

One of our areas of expertise

The legislation concerns properties: primarily, their registration, ownership, transfer, and leasing

Property law covers a multitude of different areas and can be subdivided in a variety of different ways.

The Usufruct law section of the field of property law can, for example, be divided into subsections such as leaseholds, rent, site leasehold law, and other forms of usufruct. In a more general sense, property law can also be divided into general and specialist property law, with general property law primarily entailing the civil law aspects of property law and being regulated primarily by the provisions of the Swedish Land Code and the Tenant-Owner Act. Construction contract law is also often held to form part of general property law.

Specialist property law relates primarily to issues which are more concerned with public law, such as property registration, planning and construction issues, or environmental law. General property law cases with which we regularly help our clients involve tenancy and tenant-owner law, but we also operate and have experts in all areas of both general and specialist property law and look forward to helping you or your company.
