Property defects | Brokerage law

Have you bought or sold a property and now something’s gone wrong?

We have specialist expertise when it comes to assisting clients with disputes and providing advice when a buyer has identified faults which, for the purchaser, are classified as “hidden defects”. We have extensive experience not only of disputes and court proceedings, but also of cases when a vendor or purchaser needs advice before things go so far that court proceedings result.

If you’re a vendor and receive a demand from a purchaser, we start by helping assess whether you should attempt to come to an agreement directly with the purchaser – which may be the case if we feel there is a substantial risk of any court proceedings ruling in the purchaser’s favour.

Purchasers can contact us too for advice on whether to proceed, drop the case, or attempt to reach a settlement.

Brokerage law

Landahl’s brokerage law experts can help real estate agents, purchasers, and vendors draw up any special clauses (terms and conditions) needed to avoid disputes down the line. If a dispute has already arisen, we can, of course, also provide assistance. Several of our attorneys have previously worked for the Association of Swedish Real Estate Agents and have in-depth experience of anything and everything to do with brokerage issues.
